In My Mailbox (15)

In My Mailbox is a weekly internet meme hosted by The Story Siren to share new books that bloggers have bought, won, received, been gifted, or borrowed.

Thank you to Hatchette Book Group Canada for the review copies!!!

Thank you Mary @ Sweeping Me!!!
Torn by Amanda Hocking

Meghan's Mailbox:

  6. REVIVED! Oh my gosh, if you just got your copy of that, then that probably (hopefully?) means that mine is on its way too! That just made me extremely happy! x) Switched was a really sweet book too, but TORN? Torn was AMAZING! I can't wait until you get to that one, Jenn! And Meghan, that signed bookmark is going to be perfect placeholder for reading amazing books! ;)

Awesome mailboxes, you two! I love how you run the blog together -- that would probably be a little easier than taking on the load yourself haha x) Enjoy them all!

    2. I hope you get your copy soon!! I'm excited to read it! I'm excited to read Switched and Torn as well. Yay for new books!

Running the blog together definitely helps, we're both busy moms so as long as we can each read one or two review books a week, we are still getting our regular updates :) I couldn't have a better co-blogger!

  11. I had gotten one of the Amanda Hocking books from the library, but it was the second book -- I had forgotten to order the first book (which had a waiting list) when I knew I was getting that one. Oops. So, I ended up returning it. But I do plan to read them sometime!

I hadn't heard of the other books in your mailbox ... I'll have to check them out! :)

  12. HAHA! I love you! I wish I had bought the annual pass so I could get the D3 Beta... dang, I'm really excited for it :) Do you have the MoP beta too? I am DYING for that to come out! I was also a console gamer until WoW! I am so glad I'm into PC games now because I travel a lot, but... that new Xbox looks AMAZING and you can download the games, so maybe I can bring console games with me :-) Ahhh, too excited :3

I agree about girl's not being themselves, since that's EXACTLY what I did when I was in HS. I suppose it's just because it's a personal journey for me - that I had to hide what I was into when I was younger because I wasn't a very strong personality (working on that! :)). It's sort of like one group of girls being able to come out and another hiding themselves. I guess there's no win in the situation, lol.

I was friends with the "Geek Group" in HS too, but I think perhaps I was slightly vain and concerned about popularity :/ I wish I could say I was totally content with myself and all, but I was reeeeeallllllyyy insecure and faked a lot :( Oh well, at least I can be myself now! :-)

  14. Actually, I went to a tiny school too, lol! We were a graduating class of 52. (The smallest class to graduate from there was 23! Man!) But it was a "rich" school, so your merit was based on how nice your hair looked, what bag you used, etc. A lot of stock was placed into appearances and material possessions (and it was a Christian school - which is supposed to NOT put any merit in that :/), and the popular kids were kind of the elite (until about my Junior year, anyway). So... sigh. I still remember when WoW came out, when I was a senior, I think, and I had no idea what it was and I was bummed because I ALWAYS used to know what video games were coming out.

My favorite class in WoW is a hunter! Haha. I am always playing hunter. To be more specific, I LOVEEE the Beast Mastery spec. I did the Marksmanship spec first on my BE, but then I decided to make a new character and am leveling a Beast Mastery on my Nelf. So fun! I really like being a Priest too, but I hate healing in dungeons. I think I get freaked out by the smallness of it and I am afraid someone might die and get mad, lol. I like healing in bg's though! What's your favorite race?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Haha, my favorite race is probably Tauren and Draenei because they're more of the victims than the actual persecutors, but my first character ever was a BE... because they're pretty! LOL! I do really like Nelfs, though, because of the nature and stuff :) Honestly, they're all fun!

Have you played Realm of the Mad God? I am SO addicted to it right now! And you literally perma-death on it so when you die, YOU'RE DEAD! Ahhh, and having to create a new character is so frustrating, but challenging.

We are now an Award free blog. We love getting them and appreciate that you thought of us, but we really don't have the time to commit for the requirements of getting them.
